Founded by Jacques van Coller, Merlin + Arx was established to provide independent project management for discerning homeowners undertaking luxury renovations, additions and bespoke new homes. With more than 30 years of experience in the construction industry, Jacques has worked across virtually every aspect of residential building—from specialist flooring and roofing to complete home renovations and new-build projects. This breadth of experience provides a practical understanding of how quality projects are delivered and, just as importantly, where challenges are most likely to arise.
As an independent project manager, Jacques represents one interest only—yours. Acting as your trusted advisor throughout the project, he coordinates the professional team, monitors quality, manages programme and budget, identifies risks before they become costly problems, and ensures clear communication between all parties. His objective is simple: to protect your investment while delivering a seamless, transparent and well-managed building experience.
The name Merlin+Arx reflects the principles that define our approach. The Merlin Falcon is renowned for its exceptional vision, speed and precision—qualities that mirror our proactive oversight, attention to detail and ability to anticipate challenges before they impact your project. Arx, the Latin word for fortress or citadel, symbolises protection, strength and security.
